Job Title:                             Technical Sales

Responsible to:                General Sales Manager - UK

Responsible for:               None

Location:                             Based in Sleaford with some travel across the UK

Work Times:                      9:00am to 5:00pm (Monday to Friday).   A degree of flexibility will be needed at peak periods.              


Person Specification

In this role, you will be selling the products and services that our customers have grown to rely on.   

You will need a good understanding of advanced composites technology, experience in field sales or technical service, good relationships building skills and an ability to work effectively alongside Sales Administration and with other functions such as, Manufacturing and Technical. Self-disciplined, proactively working to support and communicate well with both internal and external customers, some travel will be expected.

Key Responsibilities

·         Maintain & grow sales of company products across a range of designated and important SHD accounts across the UK and Europe.

·         Follow up and close out on new leads in a timely manner

·         Prepare quotations and offer technical advice (with support of SHD Technical Department as necessary)

·         Prepare detailed visit reports and communicate clearly on behalf of SHD customers

·         An understanding of the manufacturing and application of prepreg materials

·         Proven commercial experience.

·         Promote SHD to as wide an audience as possible (exploiting all contacts and networking events / conferences etc.) as appropriate.

·         Strong track record in any major prepreg application sectors would be advantageous.

·         Strong communication skills.

·         A drive to succeed and grow within a dynamic global business.

·         Work in accordance with the Company Quality and Health and Safety procedures at all times.

·         To undertake and other duties from time to time as can be reasonable requested by the company.
