Role Overview

In this role, you will be carrying out breakdown, planned and preventative maintenance on a variety ofproduction machinery plus assist SHD Engineering in the building of converting machines.

Key Responsibilities

• Working in accordance with the company Quality and Health and Safety procedures at all times

• Responsible for the safe installation and upkeep of all main production and auxiliary equipment

• Deliver fast, effective electrical fault finding by investigating the root cause and identify and implement preventative solutions making sure that the Production Manager is informed if a shutdown is required and that all plant and equipment is safe prior to handing back to production team

• Ensure the spares inventory is correctly identified and located in the correct location

• Practise continuous improvement, innovation and pro-activeness for improved ways of working offering possible solutions to problems encountered wherever possible

• Regular site walks to assess any possible required maintenance

Skills & Experience Required

• Good understanding of English and Maths

• The ability to work within a team and work without supervision once trained

• Clear and effective communicator

• Recognised electrical qualification – City & Guilds Level 3 Electrotechnical Certificate & City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. (Essential)

• Maintenance experience on a range of production machinery

• Fault find ability on electrical breakdowns

• Experience in the installation of new lines

• Knowledge of inverter drives

• Ability to read electrical drawings and complete control panels from these drawings
