Location: Home based with some travelling expected (EU)
Work Times: 9.00am to 5.00pm (Monday to Friday). A high level of flexibility will be needed at peak periods.
Purpose
The purpose of this role is to drive sustainable financial growth for SHD across the UK, with a particular focus on high performance industry sectors, through pro-active support of existing customers, developing new opportunities and liaising effectively with SHD manufacturing sites
Person Specification
In this role, you will be selling and supporting the products and services that SHD customers have grown to rely on. You will need a thorough understanding of advanced composites prepreg technology and several successful years’ experience in senior commercial roles with a strong understanding of technical aspects of the composites industry (materials, processes etc.).
Pro-active and self-disciplined, the ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills for working both within SHD businesses and with customers
Key Responsibilities
Driving business growth through strong technical knowledge, sales experience and ambition for both SHD and its customers
Maintaining a strong and growing strategic key UK customer accounts base through effective and pro-active account management.
Generating significant new business growth within a chosen UK territory or market sector, or both
Specific geographic territories may also be considered depending on the applicant
Liaise with sales administration, purchasing, production and relevant departments where necessary to ensure effective and efficient support of customers.
Working closely with SHD technical department on product and application development at customers as appropriate
Working to and reporting against budgets, targets and objectives as defined by UK General Sales Manager
Attending trade shows, networking events as an exhibitor for SHD, or visitor for prospecting.
Work in accordance with the Company Quality and Health and Safety procedures at all times.
To undertake and other duties from time to time as can be reasonable requested by the company.
Skills and Ability
Knowledge of advanced composite prepreg materials manufacture and applications
Experience and strong track record in sales growth across multiple market sectors
Business development activities at all levels
Excellent sales and negotiation skills
Commercial awareness
Attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and with a pro-active/self-sufficient approach
High degree of computer literacy
