HealTech™ Technology
CompPair's HealTech™ is a thermoset-based resin system that enables composite parts to heal microcracks and delamination at ultra-fast speeds. By locally heating the component to 100–150°C, HealTech™ achieves performance in line with industry benchmarks, delivering superior toughness. It can recover 100% of the mechanical properties after repairing microcracks while preserving the structure’s integrity, profile, and weight.
CompPair distinguishes itself by expanding the range of composite manufacturing formulations, each incorporating the benefits of in-situ repair. In close collaboration with SHD, CompPair brings pre-impregnated textiles reinforced with materials such as carbon, glass, and flax to address diverse industry needs.
Repairability Demonstrations
Repairability tests were conducted using non-destructive testing (NDT) methods in collaboration with Comatec Institute at HEIGH-VD in Switzerland. In these tests, 10J impacts were applied to typical composite layups, creating 10mm damage areas that were fully repaired thanks to the embedded HealTech™ technology. This successful demonstration underscores the reliability and effectiveness of the system in real-world high-performance applications.
