We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, comfortable on a manufacturing floor, and willing to speak up when something does not look right.

What You Will Do

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials and products.

  • Inspect products against specifications, procedures, work instructions, and customer requirements.

  • Use appropriate measuring and inspection equipment to verify product conformance.

  • Accurately document inspection and test results and maintain required quality and traceability records.

  • Review production travellers, work orders, inspection records, certificates, and other manufacturing documentation for accuracy and completeness.

  • Identify, document, segregate, and communicate nonconforming materials or processes.

  • Assist with nonconformance reports (NCRs), corrective actions, root-cause investigations, and follow-up activities.

  • Support Quality and Production personnel in resolving manufacturing and product-quality issues.

  • Verify inspection and measuring equipment is within calibration requirements and help maintain calibration records.

  • Support first-article, process, and product inspections as required.

  • Assist with document control and internal, customer, and certification audits.

  • Support compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, customer requirements, and SHD quality procedures.

  • Participate in continuous-improvement activities focused on reducing defects, scrap, rework, and recurring quality issues.

  • Follow all company safety, quality, security, and housekeeping requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, quality inspection, quality assurance, production, laboratory testing, or a related technical environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

  • Ability to read and follow specifications, procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation.

  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and electronic business systems.

  • Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to identify and appropriately escalate quality concerns.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of quality inspection or quality-control experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in aerospace, composites, automotive, chemical, or another regulated manufacturing environment.

  • Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, or similar quality-management systems.

  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, scales, or other inspection and measurement equipment.

  • Experience with NCRs, corrective actions, root-cause analysis, calibration, manufacturing travelers, work orders, specifications, or certificates of conformance.

  • Experience with ERP/MRP or electronic quality-management systems and basic continuous-improvement techniques.

What Success Looks Like

  • You take ownership of quality and follow issues through to resolution.

  • You maintain accurate and complete documentation.

  • You work effectively with both production employees and management.

  • You recognize potential quality problems before they become larger issues.

  • You understand that quality is a shared responsibility across the organization.

  • You are comfortable working in a growing and evolving manufacturing environment.
