SHD Composites return to JEC World for 10th year

SHD have returned to JEC World, Paris, for the 10th year in 2023 with our biggest support team ever, underlining how we have grown to be a truly global supplier, serving customers across all major market sectors.

The SHD team will, in particular, be sharing the company’s developments in the vital area of increased sustainability and material circularity. Displayed on the stand are a range of components made from SHD materials that include both increased levels of bio-sourced content, but also demonstrate how we are focused on lowering CO2 footprint and developing “end of life” solutions. On display are bio-epoxy (MTB350) solutions combined with flax fibres, including the extremely light Hummingbird Bike, as well as fully bio-based PFA parts including (FR308) commercial aircraft interior components and a (PS200) battery enclosure to protect against thermal runaway events. Other demonstrators on display include 100% bio-sourced body panels and some novel product developments using recycled and aligned carbon fibres.
