SHD Group expand into USA with incorporation of SHD Composite Materials Inc.
It is with great pleasure that we can announce that on 17th August 2018 SHD Composite Materials Inc. our new venture in the US was incorporated.
The manufacturing and distribution site will be based in the Charlotte area North Carolina, primarily to support our growing business in North America, whilst continuing to support our growing global reach. The 4th SHD fabric prepreg line is fully commissioned in the UK and will be shipped out to the US Q4 2018, with on-site manufacturing commencing early 2019.
Jamie Keogh, a prominent and highly experienced member of the composite community, will join SHD composite Materials Inc. as CEO of the US operation from October 2018 to establish the foothold in North America.
We currently offer our full range of composite prepreg materials from the UK globally, however by growing our manufacturing facilities this offers further capacity for UK clients.
We see this as a fantastic opportunity to strengthen the current position of SHD Composite Materials in the Advanced Composite Prepreg Market.
Coupled with the production facilities in the UK and Slovenia, an additional manufacturing facility in the US will offer strength, stability and efficiency to all our customers around the globe. Every employee within the SHD Group is passionate about composites, and we see forming long-term partnerships within the US as extremely exciting next step on our journey of our planned global growth.
