West Coast US Sales Representative

Purpose of role  

The purpose of this role is to grow new sales opportunities and manage and maintain existing business. To identify new opportunities with current and new clients. To bring in and liaise with the technical department as required, while including the technical department with any potential issues or specific requirements aligned with commercial viability. Responsible for sales growth in Western North America.

Person Specification

Either a proven sales professional or a person with an element of composite knowledge with a willingness to learn. With tenacity, to develop into a sales role, the individual will identify and execute a strategic sales model in line with the company objectives and will modify the plan in a dynamic market while ensuring the identified goals are met or exceeded.   A clear understanding of the importance of relationships and relationship management is key. The ability to confidently represent SHD, at all levels.
Key Objectives  

  • Managing Customer relationships.

  • Developing Tactical commercial plans, in conjunction with leadership.

  • Sales Growth through professional communication with existing and potential customers.

  • Manage and interpret customers’ requirements – speaking with customers to understand, anticipate and meet their needs.  

  • Follow up and close out on new leads in a timely manner.

  • Opportunities to develop with customers a sustainable growth mindset.

  • Communication with SHD wider team dealing with problem solving and adaptability  

  • Implementation and reporting of customers concerns and suggestions, being part of a team to action, alleviate and prevent re-occurrence.

  • Working in accordance with Company Quality and Health & Safety procedures at all times

  • Prepare and deliver presentations to customers and the team.

  • Availability to travel

  • Attend Trade Shows, conferences and other marketing events as and when required.

  • Maintain awareness of pertinent customer’s information, forecasts, payment performance and communicate any information that may affect company decisions to the appropriate personal.

  • Research of market data and requirements.

  • Keep up to date with typical industry market pricing

  • To be willing to undertake and other duties from time to time as can be reasonable requested by the company.
