Global Continuous Improvement Manager

SHD Composites is growing its advanced-materials manufacturing operations and is looking for a hands-on Global Continuous Improvement Manager to build and deploy an organizational excellence system across our global facilities. This role is ideal for a practical change leader who enjoys working directly with teams, solving real manufacturing problems, and delivering measurable results.

You will partner with Operations, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, EHS, and Data Analytics to improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost, and help create a culture in which employees identify problems quickly, collaborate effectively, and continuously improve the way work is done.

What You'll Do

• Develop and deploy SHD’s organizational excellence system and a multi-year continuous-improvement roadmap.

• Lead Lean initiatives using 5S, visual management, standard work, value stream mapping, A3 problem solving, root cause analysis, Kaizen, waste elimination, line balancing, and flow optimization.

• Assess manufacturing and business processes; improve material flow, layout, capacity, equipment effectiveness, inventory, and labor productivity.

• Establish KPI dashboards and visual-management practices that turn performance data into action.

• Build standard work, procedures, and scalable operating practices across sites.

• Coach leaders and frontline employees; develop a network of Continuous Improvement Champions.

• Ensure improvement activities support quality, safety, and risk-management requirements.

• Support new-product introduction, industrialization, and operational scaling efforts.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and seven or more years of manufacturing, operations, continuous improvement, or operational excellence experience.

• Demonstrated success leading Lean transformation and facilitating Kaizen, value stream mapping, and structured problem-solving workshops.

• Ability to influence across functions and lead change in a fast-growing manufacturing environment.

• Strong communication, facilitation, coaching, project-management, and data-analysis skills.

• Experience with Power BI, Visio, process-mapping tools, and operational metrics.

Preferred Experience

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt; multi-site manufacturing; ERP/MES; aerospace, composites, advanced-materials, automotive, defense, or similar industry experience.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $135,000–$160,000 per year. Final compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity. SHD Composites offers a competitive benefits package and an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a rapidly growing organization.

Work Environment

Office and manufacturing environment across SHD facilities; PPE required in production areas; 15–25% global travel to SHD sites.
