Work Times:                      7am to 3pm (Monday to Friday).   A degree of flexibility will be needed at peak periods.               

Purpose

The purpose of this role is to support daily finance operations and HR processes with out Slovenian entry.  

 Person Specification

This role combines administrative, financial and HR responsibilities.

 Key Responsibilities

Finance Administration

  • Assist with the daily accounting tasks in accordance with Slovenian accounting standards (SRS)

  • Maintain bank account including daily recoding of receipts and payments and raising payments for Director approval

  • Maintain accurate financial records

  • Support monthly and year-end closing activities (accruals, reconciliations, data preparation)

  • Assist with VAT; payroll inputs and other statutory reporting

  • Generate financial reports as required by management

  • Undertake any other duties from time to time as can be reasonable requested by the company

HR Administration

  • Maintain employee data; contracts and HR documentation in compliance with the Employment Relationships Act (ZDR-1)

  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes

  • Prepare employment contract, annexes and HR letters

  • Track attendance, leave balances, sick live and working-time records

  • Prepare payroll data (attendance, allowances, overtime, sick leave, benefits, changes in employment details etc) and send accurate monthly input to external accountants for payroll processing

  • Ensure accuracy and timely submission of all payroll-relevant information

  • Provide administrative support in performance reviews and training records

  • Handle employee queries professionally and confidentially

  • Assist with disciplinary and grievance procedures in accordance with Slovenian employment laws ensuring proper documentation, timelines, employee rights and statutory compliance

  • Ensure GDPR compliance when handling personal data

Skills and Ability

  • Previous administrative experience, ideally in Finance and HR

  • Understanding of Slovenian labour legislation and basic accounting principles

  • High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

  • Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly

  • Fluency in Slovenian and strong working knowledge of English

  • Proactive, reliable and organised

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and within a team
