Established in 1985 in Poole - Dorset, NORCO specialise in manufacturing large composite structures and GRP mouldings for end users in the UK and Europe. Operating from five sites with an overall capacity of 100,000 sq. ft, NORCO employ over 170 skilled workers and train their staff to NVQ standards.

Facebook Solar UAV

Norco worked with social media giant Facebook to developed lightweight & rigid solar-powered UAVs that beam internet signal to people in remote, underserved regions.

Siemens Transport Covers

Siemens Industrial Turbines were struggling with the reliability and longevity of their transport covers made from ABS plastic. They tasked design company Assystem who subsequently contacted Norco for a composite solution, which was accepted and the three parties collaborated together to develop a more robust alternative.

L-3 Link Flight Simulators

Leading simulation systems integrator L-3 Link Simulation & Training’s Reality 7 flight simulators perform many dynamic movements during flight and they also must correctly simulate the experience of turbulence. A trainee pilot shouldn’t be able to detect any extraneous noises other than the sound emanating from the speakers, and not the whole simulator rattling. Norco have worked with L-3 on a new design concept for the Reality 7 flight simulator. The original design brief was to keep the aesthetics as close to the existing design as possible and also engineer a cost structure with a tooling concept that is future-proof with other types of civil aircraft.
