Job Title: US Sales Manager

Responsible to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Responsible for: Customer Service Representative

Location: Home based and field

Work Times: 8am to 5pm (Monday to Friday) a degree of flexibility will be needed as the business requires.

Right To Work: Must have the legal right to work in the US and be a US resident.

Purpose of role

The purpose of this role is to develop, manage, maintain and develop business. Identifying new opportunities with current clients and new clients. To bring in and liaise with the technical department as required, while including the technical department with any potential issues or specific requirements aligned with commercial viability. Responsible for sales in North America.

Person Specification

A sales professional who will identify and execute a strategic sales model in line with the company objectives and guides and modify the plan in a dynamic market while ensuring the identified goals are met or exceeded while not stressing the production facility. A clear understanding of the importance of relationships and relationship management. The ability to confidently represent SHD, at all levels.

Key Objectives

  • Managing Customer relationships.

  • Developing Tactical commercial plans.

  • Develop and deploy our Global Market Strategy Plan at a regional level.

  • Sales Growth through professional communication with existing and potential customers.

  • Manage and interpret customers’ requirements – speaking with customers to understand, anticipate and meet their needs.

  • Opportunities to develop with customers a sustainable growth mindset.

  • Communication with SHD wider team dealing with problem solving and adaptability,

  • Implementation and reporting of customers concerns and suggestions, being part of a team to action, alleviate and prevent re-occurrence.

  • Working closely with SME’s (Subject Matter Experts) to deliver solutions.

  • Working in accordance with Company Quality and Health & Safety procedures at all times

  • Prepare and deliver presentations to customers and the team.

  • Attend Trade Shows, conferences and other marketing events as and when required.

  • Maintain awareness of pertinent customer’s information, forecasts, payment performance and communicate any information that may affect company decisions to the appropriate personal.

  • Research of market data and requirements.

  • Keep up to date of competitor products and identify and report on competitor pricing and market strategies.

  • Follow up and close out on new leads in a timely manner.

  • To be willing to undertake and other duties from time to time as can be reasonable requested by the company.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or 5 years of experience preferred.

  • 2 years technical experience in a supervisory or management capacity.
